Greys GTS500 Fly Reel

The Greys GTS500 is based on the design of the more expensive GTS700 but this time using die cast aluminium for the reel body rather than machining it from bar stock. This allows them to bring it market at a much lower price while still keeping many of the great features that made the GTS700 such a popular reel.

The GTS500 has a tri-spoke reel and spool carrier design keeping the weight down while still maintaining it's strength and rigidity, delivering a smart modern reel with all the benefits of the multi-spool cassette system.

The captive spool release on the GTS500 screws down for a very secure and reliable connection while still allowing for quick and easy change of spools. The neoprene reel bag and two extra cassette spools that come as standard provide a complete system for most fly anglers but extra spools are available for those who want to use it with more than three fly lines.

The GTS500 fly reel comes with Greys’ unique line identification system that comes with a range of coloured pegs to help you quickly and easily identify the line on the spool.

The large arbor spools provide better drag consistency and less line coiling which leads to improved casting, better line lay and a more direct contact with the fly for better hook ups

The Greys GTS500 operates with a dual Rulon disc drag system that gives you to have incredible control when playing fish. Rulon is incredibly durable and heat resistant giving a silky smooth and reliable heat system that won't fail you, no matter how large a fish you catch on it.

The Greys GTS500 offers toolless left to right conversion for quick and easy set up.
