The Cortland 444 Spring Creek is designed for fishing small, clear rivers where the need is for a delicate casting, accurate fly line that won't spook the fish. The dark olive colour is perfect for fishing the chalk streams of the UK.

DETAILS

The glass-like finish on these fly lines is super smooth and self lubricating for extra distance while the special suppleness helps accuracy and gives the most delicate presentation.

The Cortland 444 spring creek lines feature a delicate, weight forward taper designed to cast accurately and land softly and comes in a natural, dark olive colour that won't spook the fish.

Available in WF profile in sizes #3 - #6.

OUR OPINION

It's often said that the colour of the fly line makes no difference to the fish. Don't you believe it. I've seen too many fish stop and swim away from brightly coloured lines to find this theory believable. To get the best results on small, clear rivers you really should consider fishing a low visibility fly line such as the Cortland Spring Creek.

Note: These Cortland Spring Creek fly lines were originally called 'Clear Creek' lines but the name was changed recently. Presumably to avoid confusion over the colour of the fly line as it is an Olive colour, not clear.
