Loops & Leaders

Tapered fly leaders improve fly turnover for a more accurate and delicate presentation. Particularly useful when fishing small flies, targeting specific trout or fishing on calm days.

Nylon monofilament has been the mainstay of fishing for many years and continues to be popular with many anglers. Soft, strong and with good knot strength it's an all round player that's also incredibly cheap.

CoPolymer Nylon is a very soft and strong material. Extremely supple and less dense than fluorocarbon, copolymer is perfect for fishing dry flies as it won't pull the fly under and allows the fly to sit on top of the water in a natural position.

Fluorocarbon is a modern material that's great for lures, wet flies and nymphs. Strength for strength, it's thicker and stiffer than nylon, but it's advantage is it's near invisibility in water. Fishing sub-surface flies with Fluorocarbon will catch more fish.

Braided Loops are used for joining fly lines, leaders and backing using quick and tidy loop-through joins. Loop-through joins are quick to change and won't stick in the rod rings like knots in the fly line will.

Tapered Braided Leaders that go between the fly line and your usual leader / tippet. A Floating Braided Leader will improve fly turnover while sinking braided leaders are a cheap and effective way to turn a floating fly line into a sink-tip line.

Tapered Poly Leaders. Provide gentle turnover while the intermediate and sinking versions are great for presenting the fly at different depths (converting your floating fly line into a sink tip).
